Joining the subject associations for each of the subjects you teach is now an understood requirement for Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

The gdi runs a main November conference at which the AGM is held and a smaller Spring conference.

The gdi as a subject association does its best to act as the hub through which you can find information about events and competitions relevant to your subject from the many organisations and agencies that now work in Modern Language teaching in Ireland.

It is recommended that as a member you also sign up to newsletters and email lists.

Do let us know through our contact form if there are developments that we don’t seem to be aware of. We always value and are delighted to hear from an engaged membership.
